Halloween in Central Florida: Spooky Fun for Families & Adults 2021

Boo!  Sorry, hope we didn’t scare you too much, but everyone’s entitled to one good scare. We’re here to get you perfectly overwhelmed for a frightfully fun time in Central Florida! Not only are the world-famous theme parks offering up some of the best scares and Halloween themed attractions, but local businesses are also providing hauntingly good adventures (some at no cost to you!). No need to do the searching, we’re bringing all the adult and family-friendly spooks to you. But please, don’t be (too) afraid...

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort

It’s back - but can we say it’s better than ever? Only one way to find out. On select nights (from Sept. 3 - Oct. 31, 2021), Universal Studios brings to you terrifying haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment and of course, the park’s best attractions during the 30th year of Halloween Horror Nights. A few houses to look forward to: Beetlejuice, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House and Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives.

Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld Orlando

Wonderfully ghoulish and kid-friendly, Halloween Spooktacular is making its way to SeaWorld Orlando on Saturdays & Sundays (from Sept. 18 - Oct. 31, 2021) bringing candy, Sesame Street friends and other surprises to you and the family. What else to expect from this daytime event? Prepare yourself for a Trick-or-Treat Trail, Halloween Dance Party, and to show off your best spooky costume (subject to the park’s dress code). Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando

Welcoming Orlando’s newest Halloween event and gracing us with its terrifying presence for the first time at SeaWorld Orlando - it’s Howl-O-Scream. This fall, experience 27 nights (from Sept. 10 - Oct. 31, 2021) of fear & terror by braving through scare zones & roaming haunts, houses of horror, live shows, and nighttime coaster rides. Need to hydrate after a night full of screams? Be sure to run to the nearest themed bar and take refuge with liquid fuel before continuing on.

Scream n' Stream

As a contactless Halloween event located at Oviedo Mall (20 minutes from Orlando), Scream n’ Stream brings to you a thrilling drive-thru haunt where you and your crew will be fully armed with laser guns to take on the monster soldiers of “Station 5”. Pay one price per vehicle, not per person! Grand opening is Sept. 17, 2021.

The Haunted Road

Perhaps your car will save you, perhaps not. The Haunted Road is a drive-thru Halloween experience (in Orlando, FL) located on one of the last remaining haunted roads in Central Florida (you heard right, haunted). You as a ghost-hunting traveler now get to conjure up and witness for yourself the rumors of eerie occurrences. From select nights starting Sept. 30, 2021.

Disney After Hours Boo Bash at Walt Disney World Resort

It’s getting extra spooky up in here! A new ghoulishly great event has made its appearance at the home of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto and pals. Disney After Hours Boo Bash is a 3-hour event (depending on the date) at Magic Kingdom featuring Halloween parades, character sightings, and trick or treating throughout the park. What else is included in your admission? Enjoy shorter wait times at over 20 attractions, select ice cream novelties & more! From Aug. 10 through Oct. 31 on select nights.

Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND Florida Resort

BOO! on Broadway

Spooky, kooky, kid-friendly fun - are you in? This year Brick or Treat offers trick-or-treating for the entire family, Halloween characters and so much more. The festivities run from Oct. 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, 30-31.

Screamin’ Green Hauntoween at Crayola Experience Orlando

Ready to get crazily creative? Join the crayon crew and their mission to discover the rarest of Halloween colors, while also running into a few monster friends on the way! Themed crafts, 28 hands-on attractions, a slime class, and trick-or-treating can also be part of your adventure... but only if you dare. The experience returns from Sept. 25 – Oct. 31, 2021.

SCREAM-A-GEDDON

As they say - be afraid, be very afraid. Voted #1 as USA’s Best Haunted Houses, SCREAM-A-GEDDON is a “middle of nowhere” haunt (in Dade City, FL) offering 6 terrorizing attractions and interactive scares. Shock factor: VERY scary. For the thrill seekers, the screams begin Sept. 10, 2021.

Sanford Ghost Tours

Dare to walk the walk? Find your way to Historic Downtown Sanford, Florida for a ghostly tour, learning from experts about tales old (dating back to 1877) and new, traveling to historical sites where residents may still be lurking, all to prepare you to experience an actual haunted building! Sandford Ghost Tour is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes long.

A Petrified Forest

As one of Central Florida’s premier scare trails, A Petrified Forest (in Altamonte Springs, FL) has a plan for you. Start light with on-site food trucks, live entertainment, and activities, but end with a walk (or run) through each of their 3 trails. Rain or shine, opening night is Friday, Oct. 1, 2021.

Cocktails & Screams

Pop in for a spell, won’t you? Cocktails & Screams (located in downtown Orlando) offers boo-zy spirits and magical elixirs that will surely do the job of bringing you back to life. Popular drinks include Jeckel & Hyde, Frogs Breath, Hocus Pocus and Witch’s Brew! This Halloween-themed bar is also highly known for its originality and beautifully decorated ambiance, a classic spot at best.

PumpkinFest at À La Cart

Their 3rd annual event returns from the depths! À La Cart is a street food & craft beer food court (an open-air pavilion with covered indoor seating and outdoor courtyard) hosting mobile food vendors offering to you a variety of delicious, international cuisine. Stop by for favored pumpkin beers, cider, coffee, and of course, unique dishes from some of the top street food offerings in Central Florida. PumpkinFest runs from Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 - Monday, Oct. 25, 2021.
